A small bag changes a day out of all proportion to its size. You know where the card is, because there are only three things in there and one of them is the card. For a day that needs a laptop and a lunch in it as well, women's bags and backpacks and men's bags and backpacks hold the larger sizes. A cross body sits where you can see it, a wallet folds flat, and a card holder does the same job with less ceremony. You take it off at the door and put it down without thinking, which is how you know it was the right size.
