Men's Jackets & Vests
Men's jackets and vests run to windbreakers, soft shells, fleece jackets, gilets and padded builds. The test is what you can still do with one on. Reach across for a seatbelt, carry a bag on one shoulder, sit through an hour of somebody else's sport. A jacket that argues with any of that stays on the hook by the door and does nobody any good.
Men's Jackets & Vests
Windbreakers, Softshells and Fleece Jackets for Men
Most of what gets worn outdoors here is a light jacket, not a coat, and a light jacket lives or dies on how it moves with you. Cut close, and the jumper underneath is out of the question. Cut with room, and it takes whatever is already on and still does up. Windbreakers, softshells and fleece all sit in that middle ground, which is why so much of the men's jackets and vests range ends up there instead of at the heavy end. Men's windbreakers gathers the lightest of them.
Men's Outerwear for Driving, Carrying and Standing Around
A jacket spends most of its life on somebody busy doing something else. Driving is the strict one. A stiff sleeve turns a shoulder check into a decision, and a long body has nowhere to go once you are sitting on it. Carrying is next, because a bag strap has to stay where it was put instead of dragging the whole jacket sideways every second step. Men's parka jackets runs the long end of it and men's casual jackets keeps the plainer shapes together. Standing still in the cold is the opposite problem again, and that is where the padded builds do the work the light ones cannot.
